This is Lynn Russwurm’s Page

Lynn Russwurm holds his custom woodburned guitar as he sits on a bench in Gore Park, ElmiraHe’s a multi-talented singer-songwriter-producer-promoter-historian of Canadian country music. I know this better than a lot of people because I’m one of his daughters; I grew up with Lynn Russwurm. My name’s Laurel, and at the moment, I’m doing this site. As far as Dad’s concerned, this ought to be an online listing so people can order his new CD.

Lynn doesn’t think he’ll be blogging here himself, but then, a few short years ago he didn’t think he’d ever use email, either. We’ll see. I’m kind of hoping that he’ll at least start reprinting some of his “Boots and Saddles” columns here, and maybe eventually start writing down some of the Canadian country music history that he’s been accumulating over more than sixty years in the business.

I understand that Rosedale Music will be re-issuing “The Hummingbirds” album this year. The bluegrass band he was with a little while ago, “Crossover Junction” disbanded, and so he decided to put together an album composed entirely of some of his favorites from among the songs he’s written over the years. The album is called “Singing My Songs.”

    Hi Laurel and Lynn,
it was really nice to read your article about your father and I know him from many years back and I buy lots of records in the past from his auctions.
I hope everything getting fine on your and your father´s side and tell him a great big hello from Munich, Germany.
Some years ago he told me that there are no more auctions but I´m really glad he changed his mind.
All the very best to you and yours from a very good and old friend
